We will begin Earth Rocks Fest with an ambitious goal: Hands Around the Lake.
Because Lake DeFuniak is remarkably circular, we are inviting festival-goers to gather around its shoreline and see if we can form a complete human circle. Depending on the exact route and spacing, we estimate it will take approximately 1,000 to 1,500 people to circle the lake.
We will invite people to sign up in advance to be part of The Circle, allowing us to build toward this shared goal and see just how many people we can bring together.
Before the day begins, we will take a moment together to give thanks to our Creator for the Earth we have been blessed with and to recognize our shared responsibility to care for it. Exact time will be announced.
Whether you join the full circle or simply stand with us, The Circle is an invitation to begin the day with gratitude, community and a shared appreciation for this remarkable place.
